Navy Exhibit
B.L. Presser of Malden served on the USS South Dakota from 1943-44 while stationed at Norfolk, VA. He built this model of the ship and kindly donated it to the museum. The Navy uniform in the photo was worn by former Malden Postmaster Harold Hester who served aboard the USS Lexington. His ship was sunk off the coast of Australia in 1942 during the battle of the Coral Sea.
Uniforms
Other military uniforms of the Armed Forces on display include the World War I Army uniform worn by Wade Kochtitsky (right) and uniforms worn in Operation Desert Storm. The military displays also include various photos, certificates and plaques donated to the museum over the years by various residents.
Memorials

including weapons, tools,
coins and manuals.
Instruments
Donated to the museum by Dr. and Mrs. S.E. Mitchell, these surgical instruments were used by doctors during the Civil War.
